    Powder Dispenser for Extruded powders

Hey all you large Rifle reloaders ! Looking for recommendations on a powder dispenser that works well on extruded stick powder. My reloading buddy reloads for 300 win mag and is using IMR 4831 but his Lee perfect Powder Measure absolutely hates it. What powder dispensers are you guys using that will work better with it? Any advise I can pass on to him would be appreciated

That’s odd. My Lee Perfect Powder measure does great with Varget! If you give a tap or two on the up stroke and one or two on the down it should be ok. I’ve run it without tapping and had it snag a little then

I’ve never owned a powder measure that works great with extruded powders. Best bet is to drop just under the charge weight and trickle up.

I have been spoiled since I got my RCBS Charge Master. I let it do the work for the next round while I seat and measure a bullet.

The Lee powder measures work great with extruded poweders up to a point. Varget, 4064, Benchmark measure great, but powders like 4451 or bigger don't meter well.

Understood, for what it is worth, my RCBS Uni-Flow worked as well with extruded powders as any of the others I've tried.

I actually suggested the uni-flow to him I used to have one and don’t recall ever having issues with it but that was 40 years ago lol. For $100 that might be the way to go and if he doesn’t like it I could always buy it from him lol Thanks for your input !
